I know some folks were upset over the past few days about the tag situation and far be it for me to tell them otherwise but if it weren't for BCUK, I would never have known the beauty of my fellow bloggers and I thank them for that.

Sometimes being on another planet is good.
The tags we use to flag our post is limited to five now as I understand it and that has wiped out a lot of tags from previous posts.
Some folks used those tags for flagging their poetry, music, photos and now that is gone.

It's comes back to that word RESPECT
I respect the fact that BCUK have to make decisions in order to run their business.
In return I feel that BCUK must have some respect for their users and treat them with respect.
I've no problem with the reduction in the length of tags - the issue is/was the way that it was handled. Give a little bit of notice (ie more than 2 days) I could have re-organised the few affected tags.
I enjoy being part of this community - long may it continue.-

I agree totally with that, Mala, but I've lost the ability now to access loads of posts on my Armchair Revolutionary group because the tags were difficult to make very short and that's very annoying indeed...not to mention a whole load in my media and my own blogs...and such a drastic reduction in the tags does make an intelligent title virtually impossible in some cases...GBHs....XXX

And Tuesday past, I heard something interesting from my massage therapist....her husband told her before they married that if he ever does something to hurt her, she should always remember that he would not set out intentionally to do so.
She remembers those words when he does something that upsets her and her reaction is to step back and assess the situation and then calmly go to him to discuss the issue in a productive way.
Kinda like BCUK now isn't it?
BCUK would never set out to intentionally piss people and I am sure they were horrified when the doodee hit the fan.
